Mutton Roast

I can confidently bet my last Kobo (its a Saherian currency like a penny) there is no place like Saheria when it comes to roast mutton, nobody can make it as good (for lack of a better word)as in dear old Saheria, I am not much of a meat person but I can vouch for how good it is, a lot of travellers had marvelled at its authenticity and flavours, it is an open secret, forget about what you hear from food and Television vloggers, the mutton experience in Saheria in something unique (apologies to the vegetarians reading this)

The delicacy can be found in all strategic locations around every town in Saheria and on this special evening, Dogo (nobody knew his real name, he was called Dogo because he was taller than all the guys around) went over to his favourite place to buy it and he saw that a white guy was already talking with the seller, not to be outdone by a stranger, he quickly placed an order, and he looked at the white guy, an idea came to him immediately, he loved making people laugh at the expense of others, he looked mischievously at the seller.

Lace his meat with lots of chilli he said in the local language, the seller looked at Dogo and smiled, he winked at him and opened the hot chilli powder can, he put on a teaspoonful and sprinkled it all over the meat, Dogo looked angry.

“Put something like you mean it” he said in a jovial mood “One heaped spoon will be fine, I hear they do like chilli a lot.

To Dogo’s surprise, the white guy came over, took Dogo’s package and he said in the perfect language, “Let him pay for the spicy one” and he was gone before Dogo could say a word, everyone around started laughing at Dogo.

“its so bad to be ignorant one said, this guy is no alien, his family had been living here before Saheria got its independence”

Dogo couldn’t eat the mutton, he took it to his wife, she was pregnant and she could eat a whole can of chilli, she was happy with her good fortune, she didn’t even care to ask about his brooding face, she ate everything with relish.
