I am Grateful for my Waving Friend
She gives me positive vibes
I live away from home, I miss my family and I miss home, but, there is a little spark that gives me hope every other morning when I am going to work, that person is the reason I am writing this, I am grateful for her light, and for her.
I think she takes her morning walk just the same time I go to work, we don’t always meet but when we do, she simply waves at me with a big smile, she reminds me of my grandma even though they look nothing in common and she instantly lifts my mood, she makes me believe in humanity and how, even though we are so different, we can still be a ray of light to someone without knowing what they are going through, she radiates such kindness and she uplifts my spirit, when I don’t see her, I miss her dearly.
I don’t speak her language, so, mostly, our interactions are limited to waves smiles and “Günaydın” but just one word from her makes my day.
I am truly grateful and thankful for her, I assume she must be such a delight to be around.
